SEMVMA has a team running in the Frozen Paw 5K this January! See our events page for more information and to sign up to join us!

If you are a second-year LVT student in Michigan, we have an opportunity for a scholarship for you: up to $1,000 and free CE for a year to the winner, plus second and third-place scholarships as well. See your program director or get your application here. The application deadline is December 1, 2025.

The ballot for election of council members will be finalized soon. Have you ever been interested in helping to shape the future of veterinary medicine? Your thoughts can help SEMVMA with offerings of CE, social events, governance, and public outreach. Terms are for two years. Meetings are held monthly on Wednesday evenings in Bloomfield Hills. You must be a SEMVMA member to participate. Contact Emilie at the SEMVMA office for more information before November 12th.

We are looking for a licensed veterinary technician to join the SEMVMA council to provide advice from the perspective of a technician. Please see our application here. The deadline to apply is November 11, 2025.

SEMVMA is offering two scholarships per year to recent graduates who are members of the SEMVMA through our new Debt Reduction program. Click the following links to view the criteria and application. Applications were due Oct 10, 2025. Please keep an eye out for open application for the 2026 year soon.
